When my daughter was born, her mother (wife) and I were separated. Unknown to me, my wife did not put me on the birth certificate. My wife has died and custody of this child and her older brother (also mine) is now with me and I have just discovered the issue with the birth certificate. How can I get my name added to the birth certificate?

Does the older child have you as the dad?
I'd go to your local registry. i don't think this should require court, it is just an administration thing. It would help if you can get your hands on the birth certificate.
