I have DNA testing results stating the father on my daughter's birth certificate is not correct. Do I have to get a court order to remove his name from the certificate as he will not sign the Birth, Deaths & Marriages form or is the DNA testing results sufficient to accompany the form ?

The biological father is unknown.

Hi, the Victorian Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages in accordance with regulation 21N of the Family Law Regulations 1996 will accept DNA evidence only if the testing was conducted by a National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) accredited laboratory.

There is some more information at this link:http://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/home/births/correct+a+birth/add+birth+details/

It also includes a link to a list of NATA accredited laboratories.
