My mother wants to be the carer of my 16 year old son. I have looked after and provided for him his entire life. He is still at school and plans to finish Year 12. I am a pensioner, sole parent. He chooses me to be his carer. Does she have any rights of him? Centrelink benefits I get for him. Does he have to sign documents. His grandmother is 85 years old.

her just wanting to be his carer is not enough.
Are there any family law aspects, or any care-and-protection questions about you as a parent in play?
