Hi guys,

I bought a off plan apartment and in the contact, the deposit interest belongs to me. Now after settlement, the builder didn't reply anything about the interest. Can I still get it back?

Cheers,

Have you talked to your solicitor/conveyancer to see whether this was adjusted for at settlement?

Depending on the amount involved, I'd be:

a) Asking my solicitor why this was not dealt with at settlement; and/or
b) Sending a letter of demand to builder's solicitors (and depending on (a) possibly suggesting to your solicitor that they should do this on your behalf at no charge).

You can ask. Whether they're obliged to provide is a matter for the contract.
