Is an individual in Australia able to sell a subscription newsletter providing sports bet tips? For example, a weekly newsletter with the ‘best bet of the week’.

There would be no actual way to make the bets via the newsletter, and no affiliation with any book maker. Only generic picks of sporting events that the writer believe are good bets.

I often see social media users sharing their best sports tips, which seemingly is ok. But when receiving money for the same thing, does it require a license?

Even if you’re just sharing your opinions and not actually placing bets, it might still touch gambling advice rules, so some people get a license to be safe. I once followed a weekly tip newsletter, and they always recommended checking a trusted casino for placing bets responsibly.

Ahoj. Soznámil som sa so spingranny v období, keď som pracoval v kancelárii s náročným harmonogramom a neustálymi termínmi. Po celom dni rokovaní a písaní e-mailov moja myseľ jednoducho odmietala vnímať čokoľvek zložité. Večer som spustil slot na notebooku, už doma, bez zapnutého zvuku. Urobil som niekoľko otočení, niekedy som sa zastavil, niekedy pokračoval. Boli dni bez výhier, boli malé šťastné momenty, ale hlavné bolo, že hra nevyžadovala žiadne rozhodnutia. Bol to vzácny formát oddychu, kde nebolo treba ani myslieť, ani reagovať.
