Hi I was accused of stealing at cheap as chips and was approached by two employees both (female) and was taken to the back of the store, then later was approached by a (male) employee who was asked by his manager to frisk me. (Pat me down) it was later found I hadn’t stolen anything nor done anything wrong. As to the disgust they still thought I stole something off the shelf after they had reviewed the CCTV footage which I was not allowed to view. I was 14 at the time (2016) now I am 16 (2018) my foster mother at the time was furious as I was not with her at the time that this happened so we went back down their to basically rage at them.

This is tricky, and I don't have much info about this issue, but the time lag will not be to your advantage.

Was there any documents given to you? or any other type of supporting evidence to support this? the two year lag will have a lot of changes : employees leaving etc...

I think it maybe worth talking to a lawyer, you can find some that provide a free consultation.

Not until you've been charged, if you ever are.

Also, subject to a lot of ifs, buts, and maybes,
you may have a cause of action against them for assault,
given that they have no power to frisk you, and that as a young person,
you are "vulnerable" in any event.
