My Mum left a will stating that I am executor and trustee. However she had only listed her small estate (under $180,000) without mentioning beneficiaries so the will is now invalid. She has 4 children from 3 past relationships. She’s not married. 2 children have changed their last name to their fathers last name. One who has tried to contact her about 10 years ago but Mum didn’t want a bar of it because they were asking for money. And myself who has lived with her my whole life and been her carer whilst she was sick. I live in her house and can’t afford to move out. I rely on her car to get to and from work and have no savings or assets etc.. There is only about $7,000 in bank accounts which would help in renovating the house and paying the rest of the funeral fees.

I know she intended for myself to be the sole beneficiary of the estate. Considering it is such a small estate and im dependent on the whole of it are the estranged children still entitled to anything?

When you say she left a will do you mean she has one written by a lawyer or a kit will of just wrote something on paper herself?
This makes a big difference.
