SA Used Work Email on Affidavit - Statement on Behalf of Company?

I used my work email address as my contact details for an affidavit for a colleague. Does this mean the views contained in the statement are on behalf of the company under Employment Law?

Your email address on its own would not make your views the views of the company. Other factors would be relevant. What position do you hold within the company? Was the affidavit given in behalf of the company? What was its purpose?

Thanks for your reply. The first paragraphs state my job title, how long I have worked for the company, how I know and how long I've worked with the colleague. I then proceed to give my observations through a series of I statements (I witnessed this, I believe this etc). There is no mention that the statement is on behalf of the company. The colleague has used this statement in a civil case about an accident he had on a scooter. The companies position is that because I used my work contact details I have represented their views and hence have acted outside my jurisdiction.
