SA Property Law - Can Son Collect His Things Without Telling His Father?

Hi, my son has some belongings at his father's house but does not wish to see his dad. He has a key to enter the house. Does he have to advise his father that he intends to collect his things under Property Law?

If he's a resident of the house (and having a key would suggest he is), then he doesn't need to notify him.
