NSW Will I Lose Drivers Licence if I Don't Pay?

I was in a school zone and got caught doing 17km over. I lost 2 demerit points and I only have one. I can go for my black licence at the moment, which will give me an extra point maximum. Will I still lose my drivers licence if I don't pay the fine until I've done my black licence test?
