7 years back I got married. I was permanent resident at that time and my wife was Indian citizen. We got married as per Hindu law and registered our marriage as per Hindu marriage act in India. My wife then moved to Australia.

Since then, I and my wife both got an Australian Citizenship. The married life is not working for us now and we came to India to resolve our issues in front of our elders. We have now decided to separate and I want to know if we get our divorce in India through mutual consent in Indian court, will this be valid in Australia too?

I have also got a daughter whom I am keeping through mutual consent.

Please suggest if I need to follow a separate procedure in Australia to be legally separated even if I obtain a divorce certificate by Indian court? What would that procedure be like?
