I have a question about being dependent on my Dad. I have never lived with my Dad but he provided Mum with child support and has bought me stuff and twice a year gives me money. I got a small inheritance from my Dad's mother when she died a couple of years ago. I am hoping to also get a large sum of money from him to help start a hair/beauty business in a couple of years. I see him every year and try to send him emails occasionally. He recently got married and I suspect my new step mother will inherit most of his money.

I really rely on him financially and was wondering if his financial support and the money to start my business will be proof that I am dependent on him if I was to contest his will when he dies?

Also we don't live in the same state, and at the moment he is living overseas - which place would the will be contested in?

I suggest you ask again once he dies.
