My inlaw aunt died leaving her estate to be split equally between her brother and sister. The estate has been held up in the courts for 3 years due to a claim. Meanwhile her brother died. His estate has not been closed. If the claim fails will his estate and therefore his beneficiaries receive half my inlaw aunts estate as was in her will. My inlaw aunt specified his share to go to her sister if he died before her, but he actually died a year later than her.
