I need some help on whether to make out a will or not. I know that if I die without a will, then the government appoints someone to sell up all my affairs, etc, pay out what finances are to be paid, but what happens to what money's left over after that, I'm unsure of I am currently married, but my wife is living seperately to me in a different house on my property that I've owned prior to becoming married (one block of land, two houses). The property is owned out right by myself and is only in my name alone and my wife has never put anything towards it's payment, etc. She doesn't want to be on the title. I don't want to cut my wife out all together, but also do not want any of my belongings going to her child or family. I have no children of my own or family left, so don't have to worry about them getting into a legal battle. At the moment I don't really know which way to go. Basically, once I fall off the perch, my wishes are the same or simular to what would happen if I died without a will in that I'd like all my property and belongings sold and once all my bills, loans, credit cards, ect are paid up, then whatever is left can go to my wife, what she does with the remainder, I don't care. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
