Hi, I have been issued a fine for Stopping within 20m of intersection (traffic lights) (school zone), for $544 and 2 demerit points.
The situation was the traffic crossing lights were on RED and I was the 2nd car from the traffic lights line. While the lights were RED, my kids took the opportunity to get out of the car and crossed the road with other students.
I am not aware of such a rule and found that out that that was illegal as per-fine letter, and yet cannot find such a rule.
Can you please advise my ground to appeal.
