Received a traffic infringement notice that went through a red light in a school zone. I remember I went through the line at the intersection. It was amber and not red but in front of me was a car that was driving slowly.

Can I argue the case under Traffic Law?

Please help. I need the car for two children aged 2 and 4 months. I also have a clean record for more than 10 years.

You won't be able to argue that the car in front was going too slow. Queing traffic is deemed to be something that you should have checked prior to entering the intersection.

You may however be able to get the infringement set aside on the basis that you have a clean record of 10 years. I know you can do this with speeding fines.
