I'd like to know about the legalities of a parking possibility. Due to challenges using the garage, I'd like (with the permission of the neighbour) to park in our driveways in a sideways position. 70% of our car would be in front of our garage but about 30% would partly be in front of the neighbour's garage.
The space (without a car) is in the attached picture.
The entire car would be on private property although part on one property and part on the adjacent. I believe that this land is called an "easement" and would be subject to a private agreement between the parties, but I wanted to be certain.
Assuming that I have the neighbour's consent would a local council have any right to fine us for doing this?
