Hey guys thanks in advance for your assistance!
So a few months ago I dropped my car into a workshop to have a load of work done ranging from turbo upgrade to clutch install and an ecu tune. I got the car back the other week and as Im driving home I notice I can't get into 4th gear. I know it was an old transmission being over 20 years old so I assumed it just needed a rebuild to cope with 3x power it had factory so I thought nothing of it. I eventually take it to a specialised gearbox repair shop (I also advised the workshop that did the install of the issue). The repair man calls me about 5 hours later and tells me that the gearbox is completely broken and can not be repaired whatsoever and this was due to the fact it had 0 oil in it at all. The original workshop told me they drained and filled the oil up. I went back to the repair specialist and he told me there were 0 signs of any leaks that would cause a full gearbox to empty. In his professional opinion (in his words) it looks like someone drained the gearbox but didnt fill it back up. I've already spent around 7k at the original shop for all the upgrades and dont want to spend another 3k for a brand new gearbox because he didn't fill the box back up. He claims he did fill it up. What are my options here?
