An old friend of mine left their trailer on my property in 2014. I made multiple calls for him to pick it in the past years. He never made any effort to come get it. It's been sitting in my yard unregistered and slowly breaking down.
I want to know if there is a way for me to legally acquire ownership of the trailer as I'd like to restore it and put it to use. What steps do I need to take to claim ownership of an abandoned property? I no longer have his number and I have an address but I am unsure if he still lives there.
