WA Getting bond when another person takes over your tenancy

I am looking to have someone takeover my room. I told them they need to apply and be approved by the real estate agent. The real estate agent is asking that security bond money be sorted out between us.

Can I insist that the real estate agent gets the bond from the new tenant and then the real estate agent pays me? In any case what are the requirements to change of tenant and change of bond? Other tenants will be staying and continuing with the tenancy agreement.
