I am one of two executors of my mother's will, one of my siblings has stated that he wants to disclaim his share of the inheritance. I have asked him to rethink and not be too hasty. I said I would forward some general information about disclaiming to him, which I will do so. I can see that he can disclaim his inheritance by his signing of a deed along with the executors. Should he decide to continue with disclaiming my question is does this deed have to be a formal document created by a lawyer or can it be an informal document created by us?
