Good Morning - My brother passed, and three MONTHS later police informed me his senior next of kin and urged me to look into his estate -I have applied for letters of administration. the lodger in the home he owned ( our family house) originally told police he was a housemate (admittedly he was long term) we only knew him as renting a room. I spoke to him on the phone and he admitted he had access to my brothers emails and bank accounts and had taken all my brothers document to a solicitor - I found this odd at the time he refuse me access to any information ( I believe he would have my brothers laptop and phone with passwords saved on device as police didn't take these !) the lodger has now surprised us all by stating he is my brothers defacto and is living in the house rent free with access to all my brothers' digital information. I have asked Microsoft to assist, and they are impossible to contact. (except via a chat and I get no answers )
