I was involved in a Victorian County Court trial in 2014. I was the Respondent. the Judgement was in my favour,
the Appellant was given a Judgement Debt and orders to pay my legal cost. The court Stayed the judgement
debt and orders pending an Appeal, that appeal has been completed, it was dismissed.

I've been told that the Stay is now lifted so I can now go the appellant for the judgement debt. The debt has an interest component to it (Penalty Interest Rate).

My question is, does the Cost component also have a interest attached to that part?

I did give the appellant an invoice for costs at the conclusion of the County Court trial that has never been questioned by appellant, over 12 months.

Hi Serial Pest, yes interest is awarded on costs from the date of the Judgement.
