Hello

I am seeking some advice in regards to unpaid work. My current employer consistently asks me to come into my workplace to work unpaid. I was not told that this would happen before I begun my job. It is an expectation of all employees that we will be required to come to meetings unpaid, to develop workplace product unpaid and to work events unpaid.

The amount of hours I work unpaid work many weeks outdoes the amount of payed work, but out of fear of being no longer given shifts I have not brought up the issue. I am wondering what I should do?

It is an expectation that we will work unpaid. I have been told by my management when I said I could not make it to an unpaid meeting that it was compulsory.

What can I do? Would I have a chance in small claims court? I have not started recording my hours until recently but have others who would testify to my working many unpaid hours.
