Checking Partners of Australian Businesses - Possible under Commercial Law?

Hi all,


I suspect that a work colleague in charge of our office supplies has chosen as our official supplier a business in which he has shares/is a partner.

This is only a suspicion but is there any way I can check who is a shareholder / is a partner in any Australian registered business/company under Commercial Law?

You find that information out from ASIC (the Australian Securities and Investments Commission) - search the company name and then you have to purchase a Current and Historical Company Extract (which includes director and shareholder information). See:
