I got cease and desist letter from Louis Vuitton saying stop selling cutters in there logo form and that i need to pay the $1000. The letter came on behalf of their law firm.

Is it reasonable to demand $1000? We have sold 2 and only made $10 it wasn't even selling a counterfeit product, but just a simple cutter of their logo.

The fact that you didn't make much money off selling something illegal doesn't reduce the penalty. I don't know what you understand a counterfeit product to be, but take a look at the criminal offences for misuse of trademarks here: Counterfeiting and piracy | IP Australia
