I have had some trouble with a buyers agent that was recommended to me by a financial advisor 4 years ago. The BA was very pushy, and I did buy something through them mainly because of this pushiness. I feel I was used to get their high fee, i.e my needs and financial strategy were not taken into consideration. They also recommended interest only loans. The whole thing took less than two weeks and I had no time to research the property location, the financial strategy they were suggesting and so on. I've never heard from them again since.
I'd like to talk to a lawyer about what I can do (if anything) and the laws around RE in Queensland (where the property is).
