Probate has just been granted on my mothers house where I have lived for the past 14 years as her carer. My sister and I are equal beneficiaries and executors. Legally, can my sister enter the property, let herself in and remove articles whilst I am not present?. I don't have an issue with goods she takes prior to the sale of the house if this is done jointly and with discussion but I feel that as this has been my home for many years, she should respect my space and not creep around like a thief in the night!.

If it's your home, she absolutely needs your permission to enter while you are living there... that said, you should not unreasonably deny her access either
