Could someone please help me with this question? :)

Which of the following could be considered a response to moral panic?

a) anti-hooning legislation
b) crackdowns on youth curfews
c) paedophile registers
d) all of the above
e) none of the above

I can exclude e)none of the above. Moral panic is described as a raised level of concern regarding certain kinds of behaviour and the increased level of hostility towards a group. There is a public concern over the behaviour itself or the problem it poses. In consequence I am tending to d) all of the above because all the three could be responses to moral panic, concern about hooning etc. What do you think abbout this?

Ask yourself... which of those actions listed presents a risk of real harm?

Hooning aka dangerous driving - increased risk of physical injury to those involved (or even just present)

Youth curfews - look for the root cause --> bored kids, and prejudice.

Paedophile Registers - opinion is divided. Some say it's legitimate risk management, others say "done the crime/done the time/ let them move on", other want an excuse to harass, assault, and intimidate their fellow private citizens, externally to the justice process.
