Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding tenancy law. I signed a rental agreement (periodic) with an agency. This agency is not my landlord anymore. They said that the flat has been sold to another person. So the tenancy agreement I signed would still be valid or not?

Thanks

From what I've seen, the rental agreement with the previous owner will pass onto the new owner. If the new owner keeps using the same agent as the old, then not much will change. If the new owner uses a different agent, or manages themselves without an agent, then they will need to let you know how to pay the rent and provide contact details for reporting issues.

There are many articles on the net about this. For example, see the last section of
Factsheet 28: Sale of rented premises
