VIC Will I Get My Deposit Back Under Australian Consumer Law?

Just signed a purchase order form for Baleno and a down payment of 5000$. Now the dealer is delaying the delivery. It's been almost 2 weeks from the purchase order form. I just want to know - if I want to cancel the deal, will I get my 4500 down payment and 500 for hold deposit back under Australian Consumer Law?

Hi Gurinder,

I take it a Baleno is a car? It probably depends on the purchase order (contract) you signed. The other aspect is if 2 weeks is considered an unreasonable amount of time, it probably isn't. You are probably better off waiting for your car.
