VIC What to Do If Someone is Trespassing on Residential Property?

If someone comes to my house, in my front garden (no gate) or enters my house, what do I say to make them leave?

Is it - please get off my property 3 times?

What do they have to do to get charged by police for trespassing???

There is implied consent to get to front door...so if in front open yard basically no offence. Ask them to leave, and if they don't, you can call the police.

with regards to the question above, many legal articles state something like:
"If someone enters your land, premises, building or home unlawfully, you may use force to eject them. However, you must only use as much force as is reasonably necessary to defend yourself or your property."

what is very unclear is when this apples? and how it applies under legislation? as its not mentioned under S9
