e.g. no recovery on quantum meruit for partial performance of entire obligation: Cutter v Powell

The contract requires complete fulfillment for payment to be necessary. If a person only part fulfils the contract then courts will not enforce payment.

So part performance for some contracts will not be granted. Fairly special/unique circumstances required though.
