Hi my ex husband still wants to give me half of his super 8 years after we divorced. We had no legal financial separation agreement at the time of divorce - it was all very amicable and we went our separate ways - did intend on sorting out Super but it got away from us time wise. Can we still see a solicitor and get a Superannuation agreement drawn up if we are both in agreeance?

Hi @rangus74
Yes you can get a family lawyer to draft up the agreement for you. Keeping it amicable is great as you avoid court costs and added stress. Have a look at the Family Law Courts "If you agree about property and money" page that provides some more information on binding financial agreements.

Hope this helps.
