Queensland Police recently exercised a search warrant at my apartment based on a 'tip off'. I had a .22 rifle on the premises that was registered to my GF's ex husband. My GF had asked that I remove it from her house and dispose of it. The rife had been rendered inoperable (No bolt/firing pin / magazine). It was basically a piece of wood with a barrel.

Unfortunately Queensland Police still qualify it as a firearm. They also found a replica pistol - but acknowledged it was just that - a replica.

How much trouble am I in here? I have to rock up to court next week.

What is the offense they charged you with?

Act and section number helps, should be in the papers you received.
