Hello.
I have a question about intrafamily adoption.
I’ve recently married(same sex) Australian permanent resident. I have one child. My partner wants to adopt my daughter. We have been living together for 4months. We know each other about 1,5years. Is it long enough to intrafamily adoption.
And also how long does adoption process take.
Thanks

Where is the other biological parent? Without their consent you're going no-where with this... Not without a court case and lots of wasted $$$

Hypothetically, things don't go well. You guys split up. You want to go back to your home country... The adoption thing could be more of a problem.

But what if you die? Well the kid would remain with your partner until such time as the authorities work out what to do and it is likely that the kid would stay with your partner, assuming there is no objection from the other biological parent, in which case refer to my first point...
