Hi,

I recently purchased an item of clothing off an online store, however, at the checkout what I can assume was an online glitch only charged me for the shipping price, $8 dollars and not for the $95 dollars for the item in question. The money for the shipping has since left my account through Paypal but I received an email from the company saying that they are cancelling my order and a refund of the shipping price will be issued.

My question is does the company have to honor the purchase made, or is the cancellation legal under Australian Consumer Law?

You didn't purchase the item, just paid for shipping.

Many people misunderstand the Australian Consumer Law. It is not about getting an unexpected windfall because of an honest mistake by the retailer.
