Hi,

I am going to be running a fly fishing training event in New Zealand next year. I am charging money for this event and I'm wondering if a) public liability is required? And if so, do I get a public liability in Australia that will cover an event in NZ? Or am I able to get public liability insurance in a country I am not a citizen of?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

You will definitely need public liability insurance. You are running an event - people will attend - if they have an accident at your event - you will be liable if you are found to be negligent. This could cost you a lot of money.
