Greatly appreciate your opinion and experience if you can assist me please.

The informant and the prosecution recommended last Friday a diversion for my first problem with the law. I admitted my fault and accepted the full responsibility (assault charges). Now I am waiting for the next step.
My concerns:
1. Are there big chances the magistrate will abuse the prosecution’s recommendation and not order the Diversion?
2. Would it be an online Diversion hearing, because of Covid? Can I ask the court to speed up my case if I want to travel overseas?

Thanks again for reading

You can apply to have the diversion heard on the papers which means sooner.
Unlikely a Magistrate will refuse but it does happen.

Thanks Sir for the replay. Really appreciated.
can the “on the paper hearing” still online? Can the defendant choose to be online for health reason?
