Hi,

I told my agent that I am ending the tenancy agreement a few days ago since I found a new place. Then I realised they have put the house for rent online for $400 whilst I have been paying for $525 per week. I know that this is my fault for not asking for them to lower the rent. I have stayed here for 4 years and the first contract was a 12 month contract, continued by a periodic lease.

Nevertheless I feel upset since they decreased it that much, as in, they realise that the market is going down the past year and let me pay for that amount with no intention of lowering the price.

That's a $500 difference in a month (which is around $6000 a year).

Then again, I know its my fault but I still feel upset.
