VIC Custody of Children - Can Son's Ex Go Back to Court?

My son has joint custody of children. They live with him and his ex partner sees them every 4th weekend of her choice, but he thinks she is up to something. Can she go back to court to get sole custody?

He was left with very large lawyer fees and she had legal aid so the thought of having to battle again plus putting the kids through stress again is worrying him.
