Hey there, my neighbours have moved out ages ago and asked if I could store stuff for them, so I said yes. They were meant to pay me each week. It's been months and I haven't seen them or can't even contact them and they haven't even paid me a cent. So my question is, can I sell the abandoned property left behind under Property Law? It's just taking up space and it's all junk.

Dan if you exhaust all reasonable and or possible avenues to contact them then your probably OK to sell them. If not, perhaps put a widely circulated newspaper advert out and wait 30 days then you should be fine to sell then.

I agree, do your best to notify them in writing of your intention to sell the items if they are not collected within a reasonable time frame - such as 30 days - and if not, sell away.
