I am buying my former partner out of the joint estate. Is there a stamp duty to do so in Queensland?

If it is due to a relationship breakdown then there are provisions for stamp duty to be waived however you will need to have some sort of binding financial agreement or court orders to prove it to the land titles office. Call them and ask what they will require.
