I am currently building in a house in a recent subdivided land area, so there is a lot of land owners building houses. Our neighbour has just completed their house and wants to go halves in building a fence now because they are about to move in. We are only at the foundations stage, and would rather the fence be built at a later stage or when our house is complete due to availability of money.

Our neighbour is insisting the fence needs to be built now and we pay half, does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do? Or where I can get some advice on Property Law? Or if they are correct and we need to pay now?
