I was caught by police on someone's property intoxicated and not knowing where I was, and the owner detained me until the police came. I was compliant and went with them. They handcuffed me and breathalyzed me and then took me home.

Will that go on any sort of record as I am trying for a job that requires no criminal record?

Were you charged with anything?

Only being breathalyzed will not go on your record.

I was not charged with anything.

They handcuffed me and drove me home, and I'm not sure how their system works. For example, do only charges go on record or is it every involvement with the police?

Generally speaking: Pending charges, findings of guilt, convictions etc.

From what you've described nothing from this incident should show in a criminal check.

I agree with @Iamthelaw.
If you had been charged, then you would know.

You appear to have had the benefit of some "light touch" policing.

As for the job you are after - maybe consider laying off the grog
until you either get the job, or don't?
