Hey guys, just a quick question.
I work at a tech store and part of my duties are to remove the display laptops from the display cabinet and pack them away. I dropped one while performing this duty, accidentally of course and while the laptop is still working it is clearly damaged.

Am I legally required to pay anything back in this circumstance?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Aleksyah,
You are generally not liable in this circumstance.

The rights of employers to deduct things from wages is very limited as per section 324 of the Fair Work Act. Good luck.
