Hi everyone,

I am holding 457 visa as a occupation cook ,granted last year .my visa is until 2020. However my employer sold the restaurant,so I have to transfer to other business.
Due to the policy was changed on april 2017 that : occupation “cook” is
removed from the list for subclass186 (permanent residence visa) but the occupation “chef” is in the list . Therefore, this is the question that I transfer to other business as a occupation “cook” is unable to apply subclass186 (permanent residence visa) in the future . If this is ture ,I need to apply for a 457 visa as a occupation “chef ”. It is a
different visa process and fee to transfer .
I should keep holding occupation “cook” or "chef"
Thanks everyone
Vincent
