My husband and I are joint owners with my parents in a property with 2 houses joined together on it. There is still a mortgage on it that only my husband and I pay.

My parents want to add my sister to the title but 2 of us are not in favour of it. I was actually wondering if there is a way that my husband and I can sell our half to my parents and sister, get removed from title and mortgage and they pay it.

Thanks

Rod

Yes, but see a lawyer to make it happen. It is not necessarily straightforward as may involve one or two banks. There may also be tax implications if the house was not your principal place of residence.
