Hi, I've been notified that I may be made redundant in 3 weeks.

I've worked for my company in Australia for 4 years, but prior to that I worked in the company's San Francisco office for 8 years. The business has the same name and our global HQ is in London.

For the redundancy payout, should my full 12 years of service be recognised - or just the 4?

Hi there,

Your full 12 years of service with the company should be recognised for the purposes of your redundancy pay out.

Thanks Ivy, really appreciate the advice. I'm seeing an employment attorney to get advice on how to handle everything.

Hi again,

I'm sure your employment solicitor will be able to make sure you get the full payment you are owed. Remember you may also be entitled to a long service leave payment as well as any owed annual leave along with your redundancy payment.
