Hi, my partner was recently pulled over by the police for hooning. He admits that there is a POSSIBILITY to what the police have accused him of, (both tires spun) but he says it was an accident, and that he simply took the corner wide and in a hurry. He has no proof of this. The police have taken his car, and have also set a date for early May, and at this Magistrates Court hearing, he will more then likely lose his drivers licence, but if he loses it, there is a high possibility he will lose his job too. Is there anything he can do to stop his licence suspension? On his set court date, is he able to tell the judge that he needs it to work? and is there a possibility he could keep his drivers licence or maybe even get an extraordinary licence? please help. He really needs his licence, and job.

I think you are talking about applying for an Extraordinary Driver's Licence. The Legal Aid WA's page on "Extraordinary Driver's Licence" will explain whether your partner would be eligible for one. You will need to apply at the Magistrates' Court (see its website page).
Do bring up the fact that a disqualification or inability to drive will adversely impact your partner's employment. Tell the Magistrate how reliant your partner is on driving for his work. The Magistrate has some discretion as to the conviction and sentence. Hence, tell the Magistrate how much this will impact your partner (and any other dependants or third parties).
